Today, the future of research in higher education has become essential as one of the main prerequisites for policy-making and long-term planning of the university system. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify strategies for the development of future research from the perspective of experts. The present study has been done in terms of applied purpose and with a qualitative approach. The present target group was also experts and specialists in the field of futures research in the country, which was selected as a research sample using targeted sampling and snowball sampling method and using a semi-interview. Structured Research data were collected from them for one to one and a half hours and content analysis method was used to analyze the data. After analyzing the data obtained from the interview, the total number of free codes extracted from the content of the interviews was 76 codes, which were classified in 12 similar concepts and finally 12 solutions based on the expert view for the development of the future field. Research was identified in the country's universities. Which include: discourse building the necessity of future research in the country; Preparation of future research training packages; Supporting theoretical research in the field of futures research; Strengthen interdisciplinary activities in universities; - Policy-making at the ministry level; Operationalizing future research in universities; Understanding the need for future research in government institutions; Modification and revision of course syllabi; Establishing the future position of research in organiz
