Abstract

This study aimed to investigate mediating role of computer self-efficacy in relationship between job desire and technology quality with the application of technology in the educational process. This research is applied and correlational in terms of purpose and method (structural equation model), respectively. The statistical population consisted of all primary and secondary school teachers in Salmas city (635 people) who were selected as a sample by multi-stage cluster sampling method based on Krejcie and Morgan's table. Research tools include Job Desire Questionnaire, scale of quality of technology services or applying Information Technology, and computer self-efficacy questionnaire whose content and construct validity as well as reliability were confirmed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. SPSS and LISREL software packages were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the coefficient of direct effect of job desire on computer self-efficacy was β = 0.33 and also the coefficient of direct effect of quality of technology services on computer self-efficacy was β = 0.50 and the indirect coefficient was 0.18 and significant, indicating that the variables predicting job desire and quality of technology services can affect and explain the use of technology through the mediating variable of computer efficiency. According to these results, it can be said that if the self-efficacy of teachers' technology is considered, valuable results will be achieved in the application of technology, and if the job desire of teachers is also prevalent, the application of technology and learning its principles and skills among teachers are appeared in a better way.
