Investigating the relationship between spirituality in the workplace and employees' work conscience with the mediating role of organizational socialization

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between spirituality in the workplace and employees' work conscience with the mediating role of organizational socialization. The research method is descriptive and correlational modeling of structural equations. The statistical population includes all employees of Mohaghegh Ardabili University who were selected as a statistical sample for the study using stratified random sampling method appropriate to the size of each class of 150 people (70 faculty members and 80 administrative staff). To collect research data, three standard questionnaires of spirituality in the workplace Milliman (2003), work conscience questionnaire based on Brick and Mount model (1991) and organizational socialization questionnaire based on Taormina model (1997) were used. The results of structural equation modeling showed that the relationship between spirituality in the workplace and work conscience and organizational socialization is positive and significant. The relationship between organizational socialization and work conscience is positive and significant. Also, the relationship between spirituality in the workplace and employees' work conscience with the mediating role of organizational socialization is positive and significant.
