Altruistic leadership in Islamic business: developing a new cultural scale

Abstract

The presence of Islamic culture in business and humanitarian principles in religion can improve the efficiency of altruistic leadership in Islamic business and lead to the excellence of Islamic society. Therefore, the main intention of this research is to conceptualize and operationalize "altruistic leadership" in the management of Islamic organizations and businesses in order to provide an educational model for current and future managers. The present research method is applied in terms of purpose and mixed (qualitative-quantitative) in terms of nature. The statistical population of the research in the qualitative part included professors working in the seminaries of East Azarbaijan province, and the sampling was judgmental until reaching the saturation limit, which reached saturation in the twelfth interview, and in the quantitative part, "students of the seminaries of East Azarbaijan province, numbering 340 people. For data analysis, latent content analysis was used in the qualitative part, and confirmatory factor analysis was used in the quantitative part. To confirm the validity, content validity, convergent validity and divergent validity tests were used, and to measure reliability, Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability were used. and factor loadings were used. After analyzing the data for this structure, referring to related verses and hadiths, five categories of social norms, taboos, inappropriate social behaviors, human rights, and inappropriate individual behaviors were identified along with 24 items.
