Examining the relationship between organizational culture and kartim and job performance of employees of University

Abstract

The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between organizational culture, teamwork and job performance of Urmia University employees. The statistical population included all the employees of Urmia University in the number of 480 people (323 men and 117 women) who were selected as a sample using relative stratified random sampling and based on Morgan's table, 270 people (187 men and 83 women) . In order to collect data, three standard questionnaires were used, Patterson's job performance (2008), teamwork questionnaire based on Lencioni's model (2004) and Dennison's organizational culture (2000). The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by the supervisor. The reliability of the research tool was calculated using Cronbach's test as 0.87 for the Kartimi questionnaire, 0.80 for the organizational culture questionnaire and 0.78 for the job performance questionnaire. Descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, variance and percentage) were used for data analysis, and Pearson's correlation coefficient test was used for inferential statistics. The findings showed that organizational culture and teamwork are not in a favorable state, but job performance is in a favorable state. Also, there is a significant relationship between organizational culture and teamwork and job performance of Urmia University employees. And the participation and flexibility components of organizational culture have the power to predict teamwork and the flexibility component of organizational culture also has the power to predict the job performance of Urmia University employees.
