Abstract

Background and Objective: The effectiveness of training courses is a part of the functions of managers who implement educational projects. The aim of this research was to design a model for evaluating the effectiveness of training courses in the management of professional growth in Farhangian University.
Research Methodology: Mix methods descriptive research method is (sequential-exploratory). The statistical population of the research in the qualitative part included experts and specialists in educational sciences working in Farhangian University and the study tool was semi-structured interview. The sample size in the qualitative section was 10 experts in connection with the evaluation of the effectiveness of professional growth management training courses, who were selected in a targeted way using the snowball technique. In the quantitative part, the statistical population included all the faculty members of Farhangian University of Iran in the academic year of 2023-2022, from which 260 people were selected as the statistical sample using cluster random sampling. In order to collect data, a researcher-made questionnaire was used to evaluate the effectiveness of training courses. The content validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by experts and their construct validity was confirmed through factor analysis. Their reliability was also calculated using Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient, strategies equal to 0.9, processes equal to 0.95 and skills equal to 0.93. SPSS 25, Smart PLS statistical software was used to analyze the data.
Findings: The findings of the qualitative section related to the design of the model for evaluating the effectiveness of professional growth management training courses were three main themes, including the theme of skills, the theme of strategies, and the theme of processes. The findings of the quantitative section showed that the factor loadings related to all dimensions and indicators of the variable "Professional Development Management of Farhangian University" have a favorable condition, in other words, the correlation of this variable with the subjects and the subjects related to these subjects is estimated at a high level. As a result, the measurement tool has factorial validity.
Conclusion: In total, the results of the correlations showed that for the management of the professional growth of Farhangian University, having strong communication can improve the growth of the professional management of Farhangian University Day by day. The generality evaluation indices of the structural equation model indicate that the data support the theoretical model of the research and the fit of the data to the model has been established. In total, the correlation coefficient between the evaluation of the effectiveness of professional growth management training courses and the variables (educational, social, executive, individual organizational, financial-administrative, managerial, supervision and goal setting) is established at the level (p≥ 0.01). On this basis, it is necessary for Farhangian University administrators to provide a suitable platform for using the model for evaluating the effectiveness of growth management training courses.
