Analysis of the Consequences of Talent Management in Iranian Schools (A Meta-Synthesis Study)

Abstract

Background and Objective: The present study was conducted to identify the consequences of talent management in Iranian schools.
research methodology: The methodological approach of this study is qualitative, and the research method follows the seven-step meta-synthesis approach of Sandelowski and Barroso. The researchers conducted a systematic search for studies related to the research objective in academic databases, including SID, Noormags, Magiran, the Comprehensive Humanities Portal, Civilica, and Elmnet, covering the years 2016 to 2024.The search was performed using keywords such as talent, talent management, the impact of talent management in schools, the consequences of talent management in schools, and the role of talent management in Iranian schools. In the initial screening, 158 sources were identified. After undergoing filtering and validation processes and utilizing the CASP tool, a total of 23 studies were ultimately analyzed using thematic analysis. To assess the quality or reliability of the indicators, the Kappa coefficient was calculated in SPSS software, yielding a value of 0.863, indicating an appropriate level of reliability for the study’s indicators.
Findings: From the content analysis of the selected sources, 181 initial codes were extracted for identify the consequences of talent management in Iranian schools and categorized into 23 subcategories, which were further classified into five main categories: Individual, Organizational, Occupational, Educational and Environmental.
Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that talent management in Iranian schools can yield numerous positive outcomes. Therefore, it is expected that policymakers and education planners will place significant emphasis on implementing talent management strategies in educational institutions.
