Abstract

Learning culture in the 21st century is a missing link in educational organizations, and little attention has been paid to this important organizational variable in the educational dimension; therefore, the aim of this research was to identify the components of learning culture in schools from the perspective of experts. The present research was conducted with an applied purpose and a qualitative approach. The target group of the present research was also experts and specialists in the field of learning culture, who were selected as the research sample using a purposive sampling method, 17 sample teachers, sample managers, educational group heads, and university professors, and research data were collected from them using a semi-structured interview for one to one and a half hours, and open, axial, and selective coding methods were used to analyze the data. The total number of free codes extracted from the content of the interviews was 136 codes, which were classified into 22 core codes, and finally the components of learning culture in schools were classified into 7 selective codes, including: educational behavior of students, teachers, learning environment, effective interactions and communications, learning environment, content, evaluation system, and motivational system. The results indicate that the establishment of learning culture in schools depends on the realization of the factors and components under study. And education officials should take a step towards developing learning culture in schools by institutionalizing learning culture in schools.
