Designing the ideal model of international research and educational cooperation in the country's higher education system with the approach of foundational data theory

Abstract

Introduction: The development of international scientific activities is one of the main concerns of the world's top universities in order to improve quality, branding and increase credibility. The aim of the current research, which was conducted with a qualitative approach, is to present the ideal model of international research and educational cooperation in the country's higher education system.

Methods: using the qualitative research method of the foundational data theory type and interviews with a purposefully selected sample of experts, managers and policy makers who had relevant educational, research and executive records. Interviews were analyzed using Strauss and Corbin (open, selective and focal) coding methods.

Findings: After interviewing and open and central coding in the qualitative stage; The research results show 18 general categories including causal conditions (individual factors, technology and communication, multiculturalism, curriculum and infrastructure and equipment), contextual conditions (political, economic and cultural factors), intervening conditions (government policies and globalization). , the central category (international educational and research collaborations), strategies for the development of international educational and research collaborations (extra-organizational and intra-organizational) and consequences (economic development, improving the quality of education and research, developing international political relations and gaining fame and international accreditation) which reflected the pattern
