Aim: Paying attention to comprehensive quality management in higher education is one of the most important approaches to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of higher education and universities in recent years. Therefore, the aim of the current research is to identify the indicators and components of comprehensive quality management in universities and higher education centers.
Research method: The current research was conducted with a qualitative approach and based on metacombination method based on Erwin's model (2011). The research community consists of 214 graduate education articles and theses about the indicators and components of comprehensive quality management in universities and higher education centers, which were presented between 2017 and 2017 and 2024 and 2024. The research sample includes 30 research articles that have been purposefully collected and selected based on thematic data monitoring. The research data were collected from the qualitative analysis of the studied documents.
Findings: Based on data analysis, the components of comprehensive quality management in universities and higher education centers were classified into 7 dimensions and 66 factors. These dimensions include contextual and infrastructural factors, process documentation, curriculum, human resources, customer orientation, monitoring and evaluation, and leadership and management.
Conclusion: Comprehensive quality management is one of the necessities of improving the current situation in higher education, according to the indicators identified in this field, the need to evaluate and monitor the existing structural resources in the university, information networking in the university, a revolutionary perspective in education. Excellence and professional development should be considered.
