[English]

Background and Objective: In the era of digital transformation, enhancing teachers’ digital competence has become a necessity for modern education. The integration of educational creativity with intelligent tools serves as an effective strategy for teachers' professional development.
research methodology: This study aimed to design and examine the effectiveness of a creative digital learning environment based on artificial intelligence in enhancing the digital competence of primary school teachers in Tehran. The research was applied in nature and followed a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test–post-test control group design. The statistical population included primary school teachers in Tehran during the 2024–2025 academic year. A total of 30 participants were selected through convenience sampling, with 15 randomly assigned to each of the experimental and control groups. Data collection was conducted using the European Union's standardized Digital Competence Framework for Educators (DigCompEdu). The intervention included the design and implementation of a 10-session training course using the Nearpod platform, supported by interactive and creative digital tools and artificial intelligence.
Findings: Findings indicated that the designed learning environment significantly improved the overall digital competence of the experimental group compared to the control group. Statistical analyses confirmed a positive effect of the intervention on five out of six components of digital competence, with the exception of the "facilitating learners' digital competence" component, which showed no significant difference.
Conclusion: The results suggest that well-designed and implemented creative digital learning environments can play an effective role in the technological and professional empowerment of teachers. Intelligent use of technology and AI can lead to increased creativity, self-efficacy, and instructional quality in the digital age.
