Introduction and Objective: One of the most important examples and models of crime prevention is the use of Islamic principles and teachings, which is called religious prevention or crime prevention management based on Islamic teachings. The main objective of this research is to develop a crime prevention management model with an Islamic teachings approach.
Research Methodology: This research is applied in terms of purpose and qualitative research in terms of method. In the qualitative part, by using the content analysis method and inductive logic, an attempt was made to identify basic, organizing, and comprehensive themes and to draw a theoretical model of the research. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 29 experts from the law enforcement, judicial, seminary, and academic fields in Ardabil province, and theoretical saturation was achieved in the fourteenth interview. The data collection tool included semi-structured interviews. Qualitative data analysis was conducted using the content analysis method.
Findings: The findings from the qualitative data analysis showed that 78 basic themes extracted were aggregated into 15 organizing themes and finally organized into four overarching themes. These themes represent the main dimensions of the crime prevention management model based on Islamic teachings, including: 1- Development of Islamic-Iranian identity based on religious teachings, 2- Executive management based on Islamic principles, 3-
Discussion and Conclusion: Studies indicate that crime prevention models in Islamic society, when built on the epistemological, ethical, and social principles of Islam, can have a greater impact on reducing social harms.
