In line with implementing educational justice within the educational system, a role known as educational leaders was introduced in the early 1390s to ensure that all schools have experienced individuals who significantly enhance education quality. These leaders are considered the heartbeat of rural education. This research aims to analyze the lived experiences of educational leaders regarding their roles, positions, and challenges within the system. Conducted qualitatively and phenomenologically, the study employed purposeful criterion sampling and involved in-depth interviews with 16 educational leaders until data saturation was achieved. The data were analyzed using Colizzi's method (2002), and Guba and Lincoln's four validation criteria (1985) were applied; MAXQDA12 software facilitated data analysis. Findings revealed seven main themes from the leaders' experiences: "The managerial role of educational leaders," "The social role of educational leaders," "The educational role of educational leaders," "Challenges related to issues," "Financial challenges," "School-related challenges," and "Other challenges." The study suggests that changing the overall approach within the educational system is feasible, indicating a need for a revision of its general strategies.
