Abstract
Introduction and Objective: This study was conducted with the aim of presenting a model of dark leadership personality within the Ministry of Education.
Research Methodology: In terms of implementation and data collection, the research is qualitative. Thematic analysis was used to construct the model. To determine the content validity of the model dimensions, CVR (Content Validity Ratio) and S-CVI (Scale Content Validity Index) indices were utilized. The statistical population consisted of university professors and executive managers of the Ministry of Education, forming the expert panel. Snowball sampling was employed, and theoretical saturation was achieved through interviews with 16 experts.
Findings: A total of 45 basic themes and 14 main themes were extracted, categorized under six overarching themes as follows: 1. Machiavellianism(abuse of power and moral disengagement), 2. Self-centeredness(narcissism and egocentris), 3. Psychopathy (emotional detachment and strategic cruelty), 4. Harassment(sadism and vindictiveness), 5. Systematic pessimism(deep distrust of others, constant perception of threat, and control-based management), and 6. Extreme Power Hunger (absolute control and suppression of opposition, self-glorification and sanctification of leadership status, and the desire to retain power long-term).
Discussion and Conclusion: The validity and reliability of the extracted model were confirmed. After discussion, interpretation, and comparison with previous studies, practical recommendations were presented.
