The aim of the present study was to provide a causal model of academic resilience management based on emotional intelligence and academic flexibility with the mediating role of coping styles in athletic students of the University of Medical Sciences. This research was a correlation type conducted using path analysis and structural equation modeling. The statistical population included all athletic students of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, from among whom 324 individuals (214 females and 110 males) were selected through stratified random sampling. Samuel's Academic Resilience Questionnaire, Bar-On's Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire, Dennis and Vander Wal's Cognitive Flexibility Questionnaire, and Roger and Najarian's Coping Styles Questionnaire were used to collect data. The results of data analysis using SPSS and AMOS software showed that emotional intelligence and academic flexibility directly and indirectly, through coping styles, are predictors of academic resilience. Also, coping styles play a significant mediating role in the relationship between predictor variables and the criterion variable. The findings indicate the importance of psychological factors in promoting academic resilience management of athletic students and emphasize the need to train emotional, cognitive, and coping skills to increase resilience management.
