The aim of the present study is to explain the pattern of promoting administrative-educational health in Iranian universities and higher education centers, focusing on the pivotal role of educational leadership. This fundamental research was conducted with a qualitative approach and descriptive method. The data collection method was field and its time period was cross-sectional. The data collection tool was semi-structured interviews, which were conducted with 16 experts in the relevant field, focusing on the role of educational leadership, in a targeted manner and until theoretical saturation was reached. The data obtained from the interviews were coded using MAXQDA2020 software. Data analysis was carried out in three stages: open, axial, and selective coding. The result of the analysis was the identification of 66 open codes, 10 central codes, and 4 selected codes. In the form of a coding paradigm, the components related to the role of educational leadership in promoting administrative-educational health were organized into four layers: The findings show that the proposed model based on educational leadership presented in this study can play an important role in realizing and institutionalizing administrative-educational health in universities and higher education centers in Iran. The innovation and added value of the present article lies in explaining a comprehensive and innovative framework for promoting administrative-educational health with a focus on the central role of educational leadership, which is based on the opinions of specialists and experts and has not been found in the domestic and international research history.
